Another of the many suburbs surrounding Atlanta, Duluth is a hotbed for youth sports. With a population of just over 30,000 people, this area provides terrific access to the capital as well at the Chattahoochee River. The town is famous for its locomotive history and artifacts. We have compiled a list of outdoor parks for your next big event.
Shorty Howell Park
This park is 67 acres and houses multiple sports fields. It also has 1+ miles of outdoor tracks on which you can run/walk. There is an email at this link that you can use to rent the indoor activity center. Lastly, the park closes at 11 PM nightly.

Bunten Road Park
This lovely park is 45 acres and sits in the southeast side of the city. It has a ton of outdoor recreation areas including baseball and soccer fields, playgrounds, and walking trails. Finally, there is a 36,000 square foot community center with a gym and meeting spaces.

Rogers Bridge Park
Named after the steel bridge that runs across the park and resides in the northeast part of the city, this park is 24 acres long. The river flows through the northern part of the city. There are a few picnic pavilions available on a first come, first serve basis. The park recently underwent a reconstruction with more footpaths and a new bridge.

Pinckneyville Park
This park is made for sports enthusiasts. They have soccer fields and a community center in addition to paved trails. There are playgrounds for kids and one of the largest dog parks in the area. The park is open until 11. Use this link to rent the pavilion that they have available.

McDaniel Farm Park
This quaint park is located on a 19th century cotton farm. The park has been expanded to 134 acres since the McDaniel family left the premises. It has a huge playground and dog park too. You can walk amongst the history and down the paved trails for hours here.
